Nightshade Garden smells like black currant, black lavender, honeysuckle

Trial By Root And Thorn
The ground beneath me was soft, damp, and sweet.
I opened my eyes to find vines tangled around my wrists. The sky above was a violet haze, the stars too low, flickering like candlelight.
I sat up slowly.
A circle of thorns surrounded me, glistening with poison dew.
Beyond it, the garden sprawled like a dream grown wild: thick with movement, pulsing with color that shouldn’t exist in this world.
A scent drifted by - rich, sharp, unmistakable. Black currant. I turned. It was growing upside down from a twisted tree, each berry dangling just out of reach.
I didn’t climb. I bowed. The tree bent. I took three.
Further in, a hedge trembled, then parted. Honeysuckle vines slithered across the path, petals pulsing faintly like a heartbeat. I held my breath and stepped where the scent was strongest.
The vines stilled. I walked through.
At the garden’s heart, a field of black lavender swayed in a breeze I couldn’t feel. I stepped forward, and the earth gave way beneath my feet.
Falling.
Then: caught. Roots cradled me like arms. Black lavender pressed against my palms. I took only what brushed my skin.
But the scents of honeysuckle and black currant returned - headier now, almost too sweet. It wrapped around me, syrup-thick and warm.
My eyelids fluttered. The vines curled close once more.
I blinked.
Morning light filtered through tall grass. The garden was gone.
Only a black currant stain on my fingers remained.
And the faintest scent of honeysuckle in my hair.
