A WARM RESPITE

The door to the Tavern opened with a jingle as I stepped in. The oaken tables were crowded with adventurers huddling closer to the roaring fireplace as the wind from outside pushed against the closing door.

The bartender - a deceptively slender nymph - nodded my way as I sat at the bar. Having my patronage on many nights such as this, she already knew to pour the mead in a glass comically large in her delicate hand. The bottom of my glass left the room gilded in warm honey and dazzling firelight. I could feel the spiced drink singing in my bloodstream.

Around me, I could discern the novices by their fresh, unbloodied leather armor. They’ll learn of hardship another night. Tonight is for merrymaking.

Smells amazing and burns evenly

Like I said it smells amazing and burns evenly. It defently will be better when it snowing and cold outside to make it seem like your in a tavrn but weather can't always be cold and snowy
